Services / Ceramic Coating

Restoration-grade polishing for prestige paintwork.

Swirl marks, scratches, oxidation — removed, not hidden.

Machine polishing uses abrasive compounds on a rotary or dual-action polisher to cut through the clear coat at a microscopic level, removing the defects within it. The result is a corrected surface — not a surface obscured by filler waxes or temporary gloss products. We assess paint thickness at every panel before we start.

The Process

How we complete a Paint Correction service.

01

Paint thickness assessment

Multi-point thickness gauging on every panel. We establish a safe correction depth before any polishing begins.

02

Decontamination

Chemical wash, iron fallout removal and clay bar to ensure the surface is free of embedded contamination before polishing.

03

Test spot

A test spot in the most defect-heavy area confirms the correct compound and pad combination before full correction begins.

04

Machine polishing

Panel-by-panel correction using rotary or dual-action polisher. Single or multi-stage depending on defect depth and paint hardness.

05

Inspection and handover

Final IPA wipe-down, LED inspection light check, written condition report with before/after photography.

Who This Suits

Is a Paint Correction right for your vehicle?

Swirl-marked daily drivers

Even careful owners accumulate swirl marks over time. If you notice spiderweb scratches in direct sunlight, single-stage correction will remove them.

Pre-sale preparation

Presenting a car at auction or private sale? Paint correction is the single highest-return investment before any photography or inspection.

Pre-coating preparation

Applying a ceramic coating over corrected paint locks the result in permanently. We offer correction and coating as a combined service.

Frequently Asked Questions

Questions about our Paint Correction service.

Will paint correction damage my clear coat?

Not when performed correctly. We measure paint thickness before we start and establish safe cutting depth at every panel. Over-correction is impossible with proper assessment.

How many stages do I need?

Single-stage correction removes light swirls and minor scratches on paint in good condition. Multi-stage correction is required for deeper scratches or heavily swirled paint. We advise at the assessment stage.

Can deep scratches be removed?

Scratches that have penetrated through the clear coat and into the basecoat or primer cannot be removed by polishing. We identify these at assessment and advise on alternative options.

How long does paint correction take?

A single-stage correction on a standard-sized vehicle typically takes a full day. Multi-stage correction on a larger vehicle may take two days. We confirm timing at the assessment stage.

Should I apply a coating after correction?

Yes, if your budget allows. Correction opens up a perfectly smooth surface that is ideal for ceramic adhesion. Without protection, the corrected surface will begin to re-accumulate contamination immediately.
